The Early Years
Stnaley Kellogg's time in High School
A major influence at that time was his art teacher, Ms. Frances Pailthorp.
Stanley Kellogg was active in high school acting as class president, and as a member of student council, track, pep club, as cheer leader, athletic club golf, caption of the police patrol, and art editor of the Petosegan, the high school yearbook.
Stanley’s ice float in the Petoskey Winter Sports parade was noticed by Lorado Taft, a noted sculptor in Chicago Michigan. Taft invited Stanley to study with him at his studio in Chicago.
