Help us put this sculpture back on display
As the son of the late Stanley P. Kellogg, I am working to strengthen my father’s legacy as a sculptor, artist, and business owner. This website is dedicated to his love and passion of sculpture and the Kellogg Studio which was open from the early 1940’s until 1976.
One of his largest sculptures was Neptune’s horse, “The Mythological Horse that Came Out of the Sea.” This life size horse was made entirely out of ceramics and was on display in front of the Kellogg Studio.
We are currently raising funds to have this historically significant sculpture cast in bronze and placed on the waterfront of Little Traverse Bay, near the Little Traverse Bay Historical Museum, an appropriate location as the horse depicts the waves crashing against the shore during a storm.
These individuals have already supported this project. Won’t you join us to retain this important piece of Northern Michigan history?
